I would love to know what books you are reading.
The most recent book I have read was a self published book by a South African author, Rachel Morgan. Her book The Faerie Guardian is a new take on what it means to be a fairy. I was hesitant at first, but as I got going I found that I really wanted to know what would happen next and I enjoyed the relationship twist at the end of the book.
